Good Things Come to Those Who Wait for Their Dream Home
It has been nearly a year since we purchased our second home, but all the hard work it took to find it is still a very fresh memory. We looked at houses for sale in Wimbledon, Surrey, Croydon and Purley for starters. Then the radius expanded, and then the location was switched altogether. Then to really make things crazy our budget was altered, and then altered again.
We searched for our new place for over 8 months, but it felt like it took years because we were so eager to get the show on the road. As I think back on it now, I would not have been so rushed throughout the first part of the process, because you really must be actively looking before you really know what your money can buy, and what your priorities truly are. As such, now that we have made ourselves cosy in our house, and we love it to bits, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. But, when we originally stumbled upon it, it had just been added to the new houses for sale in town. It goes to show that timing seriously is everything, and in order to get our dream home we had to be patient.
